UBT is successfully pursuing the major project of establishing innovation and technology centers, as the most promising and serious investment for the future of the new generation.
After the opening of “Korça Innovation and Technology Hub”, UBT is continuing the strong technological connection, this time, with the greatest potential that Kosovo has, its youth.
Within this project was opened “UBT Prizren Innovation and Technology Hub”, as a leading center of technology and innovation in the city of Prizren, which aims to connect the youth, entrepreneurship, cultural heritage, developments of the latest technology, innovation and current world trends.
The agreement for the establishment of UBT in the Innovation and Training Park in Prizren (ITP), was signed by the rector of UBT, Prof. Dr. Edmond Hajrizi and the coordinator of ITP, Muhamed Rexhepi, in the presence of the director of this business park, Wolfgang Leidig.
The ecosystem that UBT offers today as a leader in the field of higher education and a leader in education and training, combining knowledge with technology, innovation with science and theoretical studies with production as a final product, make UBT globally competitive.
ITP in Prizren is a joint Kosovo-German project that aims to create an attractive business environment for small and medium enterprises. The park is located in the former German military camp in Prizren, has an area of 40 hectares and includes 56 buildings and several plots for further development. At the forefront of this business park from October you will have UBT with its super rich experience in innovation and technology.
“In Kosovo and in every country that claims to operate 5G, there should be fiber optic networks. Kosovo, after the war, has a very good potential as it has invested a lot in a modern infrastructure with these networks thanks to many ISPs and institutions (UBT being one of them), who have created the opportunity for the implementation of 5G in our country as well.
“With 5G technology, the speed will be achieved in real time, very small delays and the high intensity of connections of equipment with nearly 1 million devices per square kilometer”
“Without Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things, 5G would not be complete with the provision of digital services and market demands. These three components are undivided from each other. Due to the fact, Artificial Intelligence may teach us many things quite rapidly, only if there is a transport network, in this case 5G, which enables the transmission of this information or data on the Internet of Thing or technological equipment"
